About

I’ve been programming since I was about 10, writing honest, naive, messy spaghetti in Pascal, C, then PHP. After having graduated basketball had taken over and for a couple of years coding was just a nerdy hobby in between games. Now, a couple of years and several injuries later I’m back(ish) in the showbiz, with some additional languages and technologies under my toolbelt.

I love to explore and learn new things, experiment with them, and build bigger and better things on top of them. I might not always be a quick learner, but I’m persistent and more often than not I’m able to get my head around things.

As a freelancer in Hungary, I had the privilege to master pretty much every angle of PHP and some of the bigger frameworks for the language, like Zend Framework, Symfony or CodeIgniter (and could also learn a bit about human behaviour down the road thanks to my clients). Luckily my last jobs at Goldato Handels, a gold trading platform, RacingPost, one of UK’s biggest racing and betting newspaper going digital and Betsson Group, I could face the most diverse technical challenges, opening up my eyes to the IT landscape outside PHP land. I’ve been writing a bunch of python code, been using cutting-edge javascript frameworks like Angular and React, NodeJs in typescript on the backend and other stuff I never got to use before. And then in 2019 I decided to go contracting in the UK.
